Matthew Koertge

Matthew Koertge is the founder and a General Partner of Accede Capital. Prior to forming Accede Capital, Matthew was the head of the venture capital team at Deutsche Bank in Australia and a founding team member of the venture capital team at Macquarie Bank. Matthew also served on Deutsche Bank’s private equity investment committee in Australia which managed a $2 billion private equity portfolio. Prior to joining the venture capital industry in 1998, Matthew held several engineering and operational positions at various corporations including Fujitsu.

Matthew has worked with over 30 global venture backed companies which have encompassed all stages of the company life cycle including many acquisitions and successful IPOs. He has served as a director on the boards of numerous portfolio companies including Engana (acquired by NASDAQ: FNSR), ManageSoft (acquired by Flexera), Dilithium Networks (acquired by NSE: ONMOBILE) and G2 Microsystems (acquired by NASDAQ: BRCM). Investments which Matthew has worked on in prior roles include SEEK (ASX: SEK), LookSmart (NASDAQ: LOOK), Telera (acquired by NYSE: ALA ), Altium (ASX: ALU), Greengrocer.com.au (acquired by ASX: WOW), Presence Online (acquired by NYSE: IBM), OneBox.com (acquired by NASDAQ: OPWV) and RedSheriff (acquired by NASDAQ: NTRT).

Matthew holds a BE (Electrical) from the University of New South Wales where he was a CO-OP Scholar, a LLB from the University of Sydney Law School and a MBA from the AGSM completed at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Matthew holds the FAICD qualification and has also completed the HPLP at the Harvard Business School.
